Extension, compensating and connection cables for thermocouple and RTD applications.
In temperature measurement the cable matters as much as the sensor. An extension cable of the wrong type — or connected with reversed polarity — adds a systematic error no matter how accurate the sensor is.

- Thermocouple extension cables — made from the same alloy as the sensor, carrying the signal to the measuring point without error
- Compensating cables — equivalent thermoelectric behaviour with a more economical alloy for noble-metal thermocouples (R, S, B)

Choosing a cable
The cable type must match the thermocouple type (K, J, T, N, E, R, S, B). Operating temperature, environmental conditions (oil, moisture, mechanical stress) and electromagnetic noise determine the insulation and shielding you need.
