How we protect the confidentiality of your information and calibration results
Our confidentiality commitment
TS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 places explicit obligations on accredited calibration laboratories regarding the confidentiality of customer information. At TCL Türkel Calibration Laboratory we treat all customer information obtained in the course of our activities as confidential.
Scope
Our confidentiality obligation covers:
- The identity, serial numbers and technical specifications of instruments submitted for calibration
- Calibration measurement results and the contents of the certificates issued
- Any information or observation obtained at your premises during on-site calibration
- Pricing, contract and correspondence relating to the commercial relationship
- Process and method information shared during consultancy services
Staff obligations
All laboratory personnel are bound by a confidentiality undertaking. This obligation continues after the employment relationship ends.
Disclosure to third parties
Customer information is not shared with third parties except where:
- The customer has given written consent
- Disclosure is required by law or by a court decision
- The accreditation body TÜRKAK requests access as part of its assessment activities
Where disclosure is required by law, the customer is informed in advance of the information to be disclosed, unless prohibited by law.
Retention of records
Calibration records and copies of certificates are retained for the period required by ISO/IEC 17025 and applicable legislation, protected against unauthorised access.
